There are many internet service providers (ISP's) in Jackson County, Texas that provide internet services. You can use this page as a guide to shop for what provider and plan works best for you.


Speed. The FCC's guidelines for ideal download speeds, based on usage:

  • Basic (email, browsing, basic video, VoIP, Internet radio on one or two devices)

    • 3 to 8 Mbps

  • Medium (Basic + 1 high-demand app like streaming HD video, video conferencing, gaming, telecommuting)

    • 12 to 25 Mbps

  • Advanced (Basic + more than one high-demand app running at the same time)

    • 25 Mbps+


Data. When deciding whether to have unlimited internet data or how limited it will be, keep this in mind. Xfinity Internet customers' median monthly data usage was 368 GB during the past six months (June 2022). The biggest use is streaming (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc), video calls (Zoom, Teams, FaceTime), downloading large files, and music streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora).

The wire can be either Fiber (newer) or DSL (older). Of the 2, internet from Fiber is all around much faster and better uptime/reliability than DSL.

List of providers offering internet for homes, provided wirelessly. This list is for internet transmitted wirelessly to from the provider's equipment to your home. It can be from either a satellite or wireless tower (similar to a cell tower). Of the 2, internet from a wireless tower will usually have a better connection, in terms of ping and reliability, than satellite. However, download speed and upload speeds may be better on either, look at the list below to see.
